Virtual server instances

We have the capability to provide scalable Microsoft Windows Server basic managed virtual server instances for small businesses.

These virtual instances are a great way to power a busy company website where shared hosting is not capable or your own company e-mail server where onsite hardware or internet connectivity is restricted.

Virtual server instances can be upgraded with additional cores (within the same processor class), additional RAM and additional hard disk space when you require additional capacity to meet demand.

There is not a set monthly cost.
You will be billed a base price at the beginning of the month for the virtual instance and then billed for the resources you use at the end of the month.  Invoices typically vary each month.
Resources include but are not limited to volume sizes, volume snapshots, disk I/O, static IP addresses, data transfer usage and redundancy.

Data transfer to a virtual instance from the internet is free.  Data transfer to the internet is billable.  Data transfer within your private virtual network is typically free but some resources are billable depending on the configuration.

Processor class:  Intel Xeon E5 (Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge)
OS:  Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter Edition
OS:  Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition

Standard Instances – SSD storage

·         2 vCPU with 4 GB RAM

·         2 vCPU with 8 GB RAM

Performance Instances – SSD storage

·         2 vCPU with 8 GB RAM

·         4 vCPU with 16 GB RAM

·         8 vCPU with 32 GB RAM

Standard instances allow bursts of high CPU usage.  However, standard instances cannot run at 100% CPU for long periods of time without being throttled.  Standard instances are great for web and e-mail servers where CPU isn’t heavily utilized at all times.

Performance instances do not have CPU use restrictions and instances can run up to 100% at all times if needed.
